Acording to our Deputy Prime Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in the Star Newspaper today 15th January, 2010 , he said the burning of churches might have been avoided from the beginning if the Christians just say that they are not going to use the word 'Allah'. If his reasoning is true, then it is of little use to go to court to decide what is right or wrong on issues which touch on Muslim beliefs. This is because even if the Federal Court were to decide that non-Muslims can use the word 'Allah', people will continue to torch churches.

I think the Deputy PM is trying to tell us that in any disputes between Muslim and other religions, it is better to let the Muslims views prevail. The consequence of defiance will be our own undoing.

Now they are demanding the exclusive right to the word 'Allah'. Sooner or later, they will demand that the all other religious books cannot be translated into Malay language so on and so forth. When will it end?

It appeared that the Muslims in our country are over-protective on the sanctity of their religion. It is okay as our nation is still a young nation. It will take some time, hopefully not too long, for our country to mature into adults like the UK.
Althought their official religion is Christianity, they do not have any laws forbidding other religions to proselyse to people of different faiths. There you will find Cat Stevens and other famous personalities becoming Muslims. Force should never be enforced to secure faith in God. In other words, let God be true and man be found false. A true religion will be embraced by all geniune seekers of God.

To all seekers of truth, it is not the reciting of the right name of God that justify us. Rather, it is our righteousness, doing what pleases God that will justify us in the end. Bearing this in mind, what's in a name?
